Active School Week

Our Active School Week was a fantastic success and provided great fun and enjoyment for all classes at Cloughfin National School. We had a very active and exciting week where pupils participated in a wide variety of activities that promoted teamwork, inclusion, cooperation, and healthy lifestyles.

One of the highlights of the week was our exciting Crazy Golf Challenge. Children worked together in mixed-age groups to plan, design, and create their own crazy golf courses. This encouraged teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Once the courses were completed, every child in the school had the opportunity to play and enjoy the different courses created by the groups.

Throughout the week, pupils also took part in many different sports and activities including table tennis, tag rugby, rounders, tug of war, skipping, and gymnastics. We were delighted to welcome RINKA to our school, who supported us by providing fun and engaging gymnastics and dance sessions for all classes.

One of the most enjoyable parts of the week was our Teachers vs Pupils games, which created great excitement and laughter throughout the school. These friendly competitions helped bring our whole school community together and were enjoyed by everyone involved.

All children took part in the Primary Aquatics Water Safety (PAWS) lessons during active school week and received certificates for their hard work.

Our Active School Committee and Playground Leaders also played an important role during the week by helping to organise activities and encourage participation among all pupils. Active School Week was a wonderful opportunity for our entire school community to come together, stay active, and most importantly, have fun.
