Watch the video below to give you a little flavour of some of the Science activities that pupils engaged in during this school year so far. Later in May we will have an onsite visit from the Rediscovery Centre. They will do two workshops with our pupils, one on "Transport of the Future" and the other on "Plastic Problems".
Showcasing our Work
As we wern't allowed to invite people into our school this year, we showcased our work on our school website and on our social media channels of Facebook and Twitter. Each case also showed each other their work and experiments.
We virtually showed our work to our parents.
- We engaged with many online and onsite activities for Maths Week.
- We had Zoom calls with a tutor from Wexford who taught us how the play chess over 6 zoom calls. We will have two more live zoom calls wth this turor in Term three.
- We focused on the area of problem solving with our partner school Creeslough N.S. (Léargas Peace Shared Education Project). We sent each other photographs of our school environment with Maths Questions based on the photos.
- We also used our IZAK9 Cubes for active learning problem solving activities.
